Gold Anchor was invented and developed by Ingemar Näslund, MD, PhD, Associate Professor and former Head of the Division of Radiotherapy at Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden. Dr. Näslund also co-authored the first publication describing the stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) technique, invented together with physicist Associate Professor Ingmar Lax and colleague Associate Professor Henric Blomgren. Today, SBRT is used worldwide and has become a standard treatment option for several tumor types.
